Rockefeller university Paving and main gate renovation

New York, New York

We have completed several projects at Rockefeller University in New York City including a renovation of their Main Gate landscape and the restoration of their central open space originally designed in the 1950’s by Dan Kiley. The Main gate entry was regraded to improve access, planters were replaced and beds were replanted. Central Green renovations included the replacement of the existing paving and the regrading of the site and paths to improve accessibility.

At the Central Green we restored deteriorated paving and renovated Kiley’s original landscape to remove numerous accessibility barriers. We also designed an improved base for the new paving, regraded the green to raise the paving to accommodate tree root growth and corrected drainage problems.
